Nottingham Rugby put on the market |
| Nottingham Rugby chair Alistair Bow has confirmed that the club has been put up for sale after the majority shareholding was made available in a bid to secure new funding.
The club, which was almost forced out of business at the end of 2008, aims to attract a group of investors prepared to provide fresh investment in order to further ambitions to realise Guinness Premiership status.
Bow said: "It's certainly not a case of us handing round the 'begging bowl' again. With careful management, we could probably carry on the way we are for years to come, but that's not what we want.
"I have already had a couple of approaches from people who are interested in joining some form of consortium. They have the will, and the means to do so, and they share in our desire to establish Nottingham Rugby at the highest level."
